To keep our county running, we have a full team of volunteers who work to support our members and provide great events and useful trainings for them. Use the list below to find out who there is to support you and a bit more about them.

Pam Mason

County President

Role

Pam is our County President and is here to offer support and encouragement to all the members of Girlguiding West Mercia.

Karen Belcher

County Commissioner

Role

Karen is the lead volunteer for Girlguiding West Mercia. Alongside Rebecca, she works with a team of commissioners and advisers to support and enable all the girls and adults in the County to have the best possible guiding experience.

Rebecca Hughes

Assistant County Commissioner

Role

Rebecca supports and assists Karen in her role as County Commissioner. She promotes and supports the delivery of the programme and events enabling girls and adults to have the very best Guiding experiences.

Kristie Mander

Treasurer

Role

Kristie is the County treasurer and looks after all the County finances. She chairs the finance committee and supports Karen and Rebecca in preparing budgets for annual expenditure and events.

Wendy Cowdrey

Chair of Guiding Development
GO Coordinator

Role

Wendy is the Chair of Guiding Development and works with the County Advisers to ensure that the members of Girlguiding West Mercia have the best Guiding experiences possible.

Wendy is also our County GO Coordinator. If you have any questions about GO or need any help or advice about GO Wendy is the person to contact.

Dave Morgan

County Outdoor Advisor

Role

Dave is the County Outdoor Adviser. He chairs the Outdoor Committee meetings. Along with Sacha and Kait, Dave promotes the outdoors and is often one of the leads on County Outdoor events.Dave is the person to contact if you have any questions about outdoor activities.

Sacha Harvey

Assistant Outdoor Advisor
(Rainbows and Brownies)

Role

Sacha supports Rainbow and Brownie Leaders to gain their GAW qualifications. If you have any questions about Rainbow or Brownie residential events Sacha is the person to contact. She also assists Dave in all things outdoors.

Kait Bradley

Assistant Outdoor Advisor
(Guides and Rangers)

Role

Kait supports Guide and Ranger Leaders to gain their GAW qualifications. If you have any questions about Guide or Ranger residential events Kait is the person to contact. She also assists Dave in all things outdoors.

Joanne Bishop

DofE
Walking Advisor

Role

Joanne is our walking and DofE Adviser. She supports Leaders to gain walking qualifications. Joanne supports girls aged 14 to 25 to gain Bronze, Silver and Gold D of E Awards. Carlene Jackson

Diversity
Inclusion Advisor

Role

Carlene is our Diversity & inclusion Adviser. Carlene supports Leaders and Commissioners to ensure that all members of Guiding in West Mercia feel included and are able to access activities and events. Andrene Clarke

Commissioner Coordinator

Role

Andrene is our Commissioner Coordinator. She supports new Commissioners as they begin their role. Andrene is responsible for all the Commissioners across the County ensuring that they receive the training and support they need.

Elaine Bolton

Growing Guiding Coordinator

Role

Elaine is our Growing Guiding Coordinator. Elaine is responsible for growth and retention within West Mercia County. Elaine is very happy and willing to support recruitment events across the County and offer ideas on how we can retain existing members. If you need help with organising a recruitment event or need recruitment resources, Elaine is the person to contact.

Media Coordinator

Role

Becky is our Media Coordinator. She is responsible for promoting Girlguiding West Mercia on all of our social media platforms. If you have anything you would like sharing on our social media pages please send it to Becky.

Ruth Collett

Queens Guide Adviser

Role

Ruth is our Queen’s Guide Adviser. She supports girls and young women aged 16 to 26 to gain their Queen’s Guide Award. Having gained the Queen’s Guide Award herself, Ruth is very knowledgeable about the award. If you would like more information about what is involved in gaining the Queen’s Guide Award, Ruth is the person to contact.

Fiona Lucas

Chair of Awards

Role

Fiona is the Chair of the Awards Committee. She encourages, enables and supports applications for awards within the county. Fiona organises the County Awards evening in the summer. Chris Wells

County Chair of Trefoil Guild

Role

Chris is our County Chair of Trefoil Guild. Chris supports all the members of Trefoil Guild across the County. Any adult aged 18 years of age and over, male or female can join the Trefoil Guild.

Ruth Crowder

International Advisor

Role

Ruth is our International Adviser. She supports Leaders to gain their GAW International Module. If you have any questions about running WAGGGS events in you units or you have questions about International Residential events, Ruth is the person to contact.
